Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop hiring just four people. Total sales for that particular year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. Throughout 5 years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 staff and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is one of the leading global manufacturers in the material handling industry.

Production and design of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of new business opportunities. Over the last 60 years, the material handling business has grown into a highly sophisticated area and Cascade has proudly played a part in this growth. Cascade currently continues to grow as the leader supplier of forklift accessories and various related products. The company feels confident in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding buyer's needs in the future and remaining aggressive in the international market.

In the nineteen fifties, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and selling hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in the year 1956 on a new office in order to accommodate all the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. Following 15 years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty employees and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

The next manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

In the year 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing services throughout the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are fabricated internationally because of numerous subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is designed to be the ultimate customer service centre.

Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the dramatic acquisition of five corporations, together with the worldwide best in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
